Bring the heart of FAMI home to you with virtual FAMI Fridays! Our version of an anatomy happy hour, this live-streamed mini-lecture series offer participants a taste of the FAMI experience in a bite-sized format.
Every FAMI Friday features a different body region or topic and includes the full FAMI 360 degree perspective: the normal (foundation lectures with anatomists), the abnormal (clinical lectures with physicians), and the practical (classes with movement professionals to set your knowledge in motion). Together we’ll zoom in and appreciate the details of specific body regions & common injuries and zoom out to gain perspective & practical application to the movement field. Whether you are a FAMI first-timer or a seasoned alum, inspire your learning (and kick of your weekend!) with passionate educators who appreciate the magic of the human body and the art of teaching it.
Lead by anatomists, these lectures are held at the beginning of each day and orient the student to the particular musculoskeletal and nervous system anatomy of the day’s body region.
Lead by orthopedists, neurologists and sports-medicine physicians on our clinical faculty, these sessions shed light on many common injuries affecting the day’s body region: demystifying what happens to the body, why it happens, and how the injury should be treated.
Taught by movement professionals, these labs set your knowledge in motion with mat-based exercises to optimize function and minimize injury.
FAMI is by far my most gratifying educational experience. I am grateful to be a part of this team who is as passionate about the art of teaching as they are the science of anatomy.

It was by far and away the best experience I have had that has both improved my knowledge of the musculoskeletal system and will have a direct impact on my teaching.
The 4 days were a phenomenal way to really see the body from a different viewpoint, gleaning critical information to further help you develop your eye when planning movement for your clients. From the various lectures (delivered by interesting and relevant doctors and scientists) to the gross anatomy sessions (where the expert dissections reveal the body like never before); you are given the opportunity to delve in and learn the body from numerous experts in the field.
The experience in the Gross Laboratory and seeing and feeling the human body in 3D is unparalleled.
I wish every instructor in the world could have the chance to take this workshop.
I have been a teacher for 12 years and this is by far the best continuing education course I have taken.
An incredible experience for fitness professionals of all levels.
Tremendous integration of science and movement.
It has given me "x-ray vision" as my clients move, seeing far beyond the surface level. I have confidence in my anatomy knowledge as never before.
Spread the anatomy love, share your FAMI experience with others + get great perks in return!
